Section 13 – Fungus Resistance:
These tests create the warm temperature atmosphere, and high humidity conditions that promotes fungus growth, and to determine the adverse effects on the equipment and materials under test.
Category F
This category applies to any equipment that is installed in an environment where the equipment may be exposed to severe fungus contamination. This test can take 28 days in most cases, and the timeline should be factored in for any testing project. It is also considered one of the referenced sequential tests on a multi-test program, where a single test article is used, as salt fog and sand and dust tests shall not performed prior to fungus resistance testing.
