TESTING CHECKLIST
|

|
To make your visit to our EMC laboratories more productive, we have compiled a list of items that should accompany your product for EMC testing. These items are not necessarily applicable to all types of products, but it should be beneficial in helping you determine what may be required for our testing & reporting purposes. The Equipment Under Test (EUT) or "your product" should be supplied with all required peripheral devices and accessories that comprise a complete system. Take into account different power supplies (for USA, Europe, Japan, etc.) when applicable. Auxiliary equipment which may be available as part of the product, including optional equipment, should be supplied for the test. All cables supplied or otherwise necessary for the operation of the complete EUT system should be supplied. Cables should be of typical length and construction used for this type of device. If the EUT is small enough, consider sending/bringing a second unit as a backup. Bring any specialty tools and replaceable items (fuses, MOV's, media, etc.) that might be necessary. Bring software necessary for full operation of the EUT. The software should be able to exercise all aspects of the EUT. Cables for remotely located support equipment should be 50 feet or longer where possible. This allows us to locate the support equipment away from the test area so as not to affect the readings measured from the EUT. Shorter cables can usually be accommodated. Documentation associated with the installation and operation of the EUT should be supplied. This should include any instructions necessary for the proper operation of the EUT during the test. A "Part A" form should have been sent to you by D.L.S. Electronic Systems, Inc. prior to your scheduled visit. Please complete this form and bring it with you for the test. Schematics should be provided in case EMC problems are encountered. If the product is to be mailed in to us for testing, please provide information on a contact person (phone number), to provide technical or operational assistance if necessary. Provide the model number(s) and/or trade name(s) of the EUT. If there are multiple model numbers, please define the differences between the model numbers. Provide a list of the clock and processor frequencies for the EUT. Provide a list of the EMC Components such as line filters and signal filters. Should you have any questions regarding your upcoming test, please feel free to use one of these contacts.
